HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary Reviews" Hi Mia - craving colour . I'm Polter-JACE , and I have the honor of reading and reviewing your offering "Invalid Item" . I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story. Overall Impression. I agree with your questions about why celebrating the new year in January. I suspect it may be the case of "he who is in charge, makes the rules." The Romans were in charge; they determined January begins a new year. In a circular moment of logic, perhaps we celebrate the new year only after all the culmination of the Christmas festivities, whether of secular or religious origin. I also believe that winter--when things are dormant--is a perfect time for that reflection. While you make a good point about Spring with new growth offering a better time for reflection, I submit that Spring is a busy time for folks. People want to be about their business, which provides less time for such reflection. Obviously, this is my opinion. But your essay provided me with food for thought. Thank you. Good job with your essay. Technical and Editorial Considerations. I normally list those areas that relate specifically to the mechanics of your writing here--punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc. One suggestion. Consider adding Annette's newsletter as a linkable item for those reading your essay -- in case they wish to read more. {tnl:12379} My Rating. 4.5. Thank you for sharing this offering.
