I hope you enter this poem in the "Honor Our Veterans" contest (run by user monty, I think). In my opinion, it's a winner. Of course, there's always keen competition there, so one never knows, but it's worth entering. Entering also encourages the host. I don't see a notation for how many lines long this poem of yours is but it seems like it fits the parameters for that contest. Another one you could consider entering it in is "Shadows and Light" (run by user purplesunday).

Your love, respect, and admiration for your wife shined throughout this whole poem. Well done!

I also read your 2024 dear me letter and was very impressed with your linguistic abilities and goals. I wondered, after reading this poem, whether you knew Korean before meeting your wife or if you learned it to grow closer to her? You inspired me to add reading a French book to my list this year. It might be a more modest one, but should be fun to do.

This was my favorite stanza:
"the captain of my soul
the major of my life
my one and only wife" as it melted my heart and made be very happy for the two of you. Though the whole poem is great! Well done!
