It's a wonderful writing effort. The teller's father is a "snafu" who lists a US Marine pilot in two "hometown" newspapers. He fought brilliantly in World War Two. Even, in the most unwanted Korean War, he showed several skills. His contribution is not a forgettable one. But in old age, he often becomes too nostalgic and forgets the realistic world. Some smallish unhappiness makes the difference between a normal person and a Godly character.
I feel proud to read that.
