Greetings and welcome to writing.com!

Ooh, I love this. There is nothing better than finding a lyrical piece of poetry with beautiful imagery and a meter that flows like the very ocean waves it describes. This reminds me of something from John Masefield, the great British poet and author. I have two of his pieces memorized.

Your formatting could be improved; I always recommend using size 4 Verdana font, and a poem like this might look more appealing with centered text. You may also want to experiment with different font colors to suit the elegant theme. And it looks like you have some dead space at the bottom. Most basic text editing on WdC can be found within the line of boxes at the top of the text entry space.

I never have very much to criticize about poetry; it’s one of my favorite item types to read, but can be difficult to review because I don’t feel as though I have anything useful to offer. I detest counting syllables and measuring meters, and barely know the difference between a sonnet and a quatrain, so I’m not qualified to advise on structure or form. I believe that poetry is a highly subjective art, and as long as it comes from within one’s soul, it matters little what form it takes on.

With that being said, I find this to be a perfectly lovely poem, easy to read, that paints a charming picture of the timeless rhythms of the sea and the peace found therein.

Take care, thanks for sharing and keep writing *Smile* *HeartT*
