Wow! this is a fantastic story! You've described a great deal of heart-thumping, blood-pounding action. So, this is Stockholm Syndrome? Conrad, the captive doctor, ended up sympathizing with his captors and respecting them as people. He managed to utilize his medical treatment and his oath to do no harm.
