I want to get off the pattern a bit for I review and rate as you may not understand but I put my shoes under the desk of the writer. I read each poem aloud trying to understand the message the poem gives me. This one gives me a very strong message, more than reading a chapter in many books. This is the language of poetry. The rhythm is smooth in your write and this is in my mind due to the end words of perfect rhyme in each line. Imagery: I see a sad man who passed a chance at happiness. Rhythm, rhyme and imagery is what I look for and I got it all here. No errors noted. Thank you for sharing.
