Though the poet explains the poem as surreal poetry I believe that the poem is nothing but a reflection of real life.
Through the life of a mangrove tree, the poet explains a caged love. We know that the mangrove trees always remain burry branches that bark as they cradle her carcass and soil steeps her cheeks. But she has to maintain the caged life unwillingly.
We see the same thing in our human life. A relationship is one-sided. But, that unwilling person has to continue that relationship due to some specific reasons. This is also a kind of caged life.
The comparison between nature and human life is fantastic. Keep writing.
