Wow! It is indeed a good Flash Fiction. There is no doubt about it.
As a Flash Fiction, that writing effort fulfils almost all the characteristics of Flash Fiction. The number of characters is the least, only three.
The writing began with suspense and that continued until the end. Therefore, the pace of the story never slowed down. In the end, they met again. The end was peaceful. So, it must be considered as an ideal Flash Fiction. I also appreciate that.

But, a few questions arise in our minds. A small link is missing. How were the Captain and fellow crewmen missing? Why did not they wake the narrator before escaping from the ship? Was it a friendly attitude? These questions create a small gap. Rectify themselves as per your desire.
I hope your creativity will entertain us in future, too.
