Wow! What a stylish and compact writing effort it is! This writing teaches us an important lesson. After an unsuccessful first attempt, we should get at least another opportunity. The experiences of that attempt may work in the next shot. We can get success. Therefore, the author's opinion is nothing, but everybody deserves a second chance to prove their ability.
