The End of Life's Journey [ASR] A walk through the forest of Autumn |
It is my pleasure to read your poem, "The End of Life's Journey." Congratulations on your 20th WDC Anniversary. Message/Theme: Walking along, seeing all the autumn colors, hearing the crunch of fallen leaves is entertaining all its own. Your poem explains all the joys of autumn. Congratulations on your 2nd place win of the Shadows and Light Poetry. Narrative/Style: The narrative is well done, showing the joys of autumn, praising the Lord God for all that is given to us to enjoy. The style is nature, spiritual, and religious. Form/Flow: The form is free verse. The flow shows the author's thoughts and what she enjoys about Autumn. Tone: The author's attitude is elated about her walk during autumn, sentimental, knowing God is with her, and humble about all the glorious sights before her. Mood: I felt joyful, nostalgic, and peaceful about the author's enjoyment walking through the forest. Imagery/Pace: The imagery is "fall birds singing their paeans" & "inhale the scent of the autumnal equinox." The pace flows as the authors reminisces about what she sees on her walk through the forest. FAVORITE LINE: As I amble among the trees, I listen to the crunch of leaves celebrating a happy and well-lived life. JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION: I like the way you showed the crunching of leaves that they had a well-lived live. From now on, I will remember this as I walk of the fallen leaves. Write On! Take care now, keep on writing, I’ll keep on reading, Jeannie's Jingle Bells☃️ My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
