What brought Hoovsie meandering in a space time continuum over to your port?

*Cow*I am reviewing your Dear Me letter as one of the judges for "Dear Me: Official WDC ContestOpen in new Window..

Thanks for entering!

What does hoovsie think about while perusing your item?

Right away, you take a familiar tone at the start. I mean you take a familiar tone with yourself to warm up to what you are going to do. The hypnotism is a brilliant strategy. Reviewing past strategies that didn't work is good too. One can see things in hindsight and when humor is employed. The eye rolling didn't put you off and that is good.

Particularly, I was struck by the fact that you say in the past you put yourself in a "dark cave". This was the year when most of us did that to ourselves.

Found myself relaxing and taking deep breaths as I read, so you know you have a gift for hypnosis.

*Cool**Idea*

My criteria for judging Dear Me letters is about what I find memorable and interesting. It may not agree with anyone else's judgment. I also enjoy a sense of humor or something that touches me personally. This was clever and very humorous.

That is to give you an idea of where I'm coming from in the whole judging realm.

No expert on keeping my own New Year's Resolutions, I didn't even try to think of any this year. So, I'm also looking to be inspired with my own plans for the year. Last year was so bad that it frightened the resolve right out of me. It is good to see someone else who is brave enough to try.

I admire you for all the thought and effort you put into this.

What does hooves moo and applaud about while reading your item?

It has to be the goal of finding harmony. Using the tools one has and the activities on the site and otherwise to find a sense of balance. Balance is a big theme in this. Without balance, we run into those dark caves of ours. I do, anyway.

The other thing I strongly identified with is the reluctance to review because you don't know what the person on the other end wants. I have had that problem for decades. A little at a time is the only way I know, but then I volunteer to read a lot. I figure I will write my reactions since those are unique to me. But you never know what the person on the other end is wanting.

Trying is a good thing, I think. But on a bad day, I might say different.

I'm going to hypnotize myself so it will all be okay no matter what. I enjoyed reading your Dear Me Letter very much!

P.S. My reviews are not meant to be harsh edits or critiques. They are my reactions to what I have read and involve sharing my thoughts and feelings. That is how I approach most of the reviews I write now. We are asked to pick our favorites and that is what I try to do.
