It's normally kind of hard to review short poems, but you've made it easy. *ThumbsUpL*
I like the way you used the prompt word to convey an important message and evoke empathetic feelings.
The near rhyme in lines 2 and 4 make the whole thing read nicely. Plus, you did use exactly 24 syllables. (You'd be surprised at how many times I've miscounted my own or forgot to emphasize the prompt word!) Good luck in the contest and keep up the great work!
