Prose is a form I've never been able to master, so this intrigued me. You've painted an interesting scene for the reader. I enjoyed your descriptive view of your journey. I especially like this line- The half jerk with a blond ponytail and blue eyes- it's a great combination of fact and opinion. Thank you for sharing this piece with us and keep up the good work!
