Ahoy, Shaara! My father had a few vegetable gardens in his time, but thankfully we didn’t have any neighbors like yours. Truth is we didn’t have any neighbors at all, so that’s probably a good thing! We didn’t have a compost pile either, but you did a great job of showing us how useful one can be for a successful garden, as well as getting rid of all of that kitchen waste. I love that comparison you made of your garden to a herd of cattle! And your descriptions of your ‘dirt-grinding critters’ and the duties they perform for you was excellent! Slurping up your leftovers just so they can excrete it back? ‘Little pink wigglies?’ I love your sense of humor, and I was a little sad to see it end the way it did with those rats invading your garden! Bad habits or not, those jealous neighbors shouldn’t be so nosy, and besides, it’s none of their business what you do in your own yard, even if this is just a fictional story! Kee ponw ritin gon, my friend! Thanks for the laughs, and have a wonderful evening/morning/tomorrow!
