Expletive Deleted [E] True story about how I lose half the stories I write. |
Howdy, Genipher! I really liked this because I can so relate to it! OK, my kids are all grown up now with kids of their own, but I know all too well about losing a story, or even story ideas, which is almost if not worse! You'd think after writing all my life that I would have learned that if I have an idea in the middle of the night or right before I fall asleep I'd write it down, right? Yeah, me too. Unfortunately that doesn't always happen. Just yesterday morning I woke up knowing I had a great story idea but I couldn't remember it for the life of me! AAAARRRGGGHHHHH!!! I hate that about myself, mainly cuz I thought I'd remember it. I even made it a point to think about over and over and over to cement in my brain before I went to sleep so I wouldn't forget, but forget I did! But I love the way you wrote this. It's a tad bumpy syllable-wise, but it's the subject matter that counts! Dang kiddos! I have a similar problem here at the library. I'll be writing a really good review (sometimes over a 1,000 characters) when these dang computers will suddenly shut down for no reason! I've come very close to putting my fist through the screen! Seriously! But that would likely get me barred from the library, and since I'm too cheap to buy internet at home, that wouldn't be a good idea. Anyway, I really enjoyed this poem of yours, and I hope things get better for you in the future. I try to save everything to my flash drive when I can! Kee ponw riting on, my friend, and have a great day! Or if you wrote this because you just lost a story today, then have a BETTER day!
