This isn't bad, but I was a little confused when I first read it; I'm glad you put that disclaimer on it at the end.
It does make a lot of sense to a child, and even if they don't understand some of it (like that part about the puddle being them, as in a reflection of themselves), then you've explained it to them. You also did a good job of keeping the words simple and fun.
Overall, nice job.

PS-You might want to get your biography set up so we can know a little something more about you (hobbies, favorite authors/books, location, etc.), but that's up to you, of course.
