December 21 [E] It's Yule Day |
Greetings seasoned, Gale (Fruggles )! I thought this was a really neat take on this festive season, and I love the way you told this! Christmas does indeed have a special meaning that maybe we're just not fully aware of until it's gone. That first comparison of your grandparent's boarding that plane was an excellent analogy! Sometime we just don't know a good thing until it's gone. I also enjoyed that part about 'Rudolf the Red-Nosed Buick', as well as that part about smiling more. And we should not only smile just for this time of year, but all year round! Not too long ago I even posted something about asking somebody how their day was going, or just smiling at somebody. It really is amazing how just these simple acts of kindness can brighten another's day! Great job, Gale! And you're so right: things will get brighter from here! As long as we get little donny j trump out of the White House. I'm sorry. I just had to throw that in! One tiny niggle: '... but wants to everybody else to loudly celebrate too' (I think you got one too many to's in there! ) Kee ponw ritin gon, Gale! Thanks for sharing this, it was a pleasure to read, and... Oh, wait! Welcome to WdC! If you like to write, then you're going to love it here! PS-You might want to get your biography set up so we can know a little something more about you (hobbies, favorite authors/books, location, etc.), but that's up to you, of course. PPS-Since you’re new here, perhaps you’d like to check out "Noticing Newbies" to get a feel of Writing.Com and introduce yourself to the community!
PPPS-If you want more exposure for your items you can put them on the Please Review Page or The Plug Page under Community on the left hand side. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
