One final race ~ [18+] Two women reach one last time for a dream ~ for Daily Flash Fiction |
HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary Reviews" Greetings Season's, Kate, and happy early 12th (wow!) 'birthday' on here! This is good, and since I'm getting a little older, I can relate to this. Sadly though. I like the idea of two old friends meeting up after 20 years and wondering what happened to all their dreams, only to try one last one before (or as) they end their lives on a hopefully good note. I also enjoyed that ending about swimming toward the rising sun. It makes me think that even though this likely their last swim, it's still not the real ending and there's something to look forward to. Nice use of the prompt, and the spelling and grammar were good, but I did spot a couple of tiny niggles: "We were going to show the world be great at what we loved, after swmming every ocean.” (awkward sentence-missing word?) "...want to race to Canada(.)” Terri asked, feeling...' (should be a comma) Otherwise, good job. One last thing I wanted to comment on: For some reason I get the feeling that this 'Jan' is actually just a different version of Terry-perhaps an older one-and she's just reflecting to herself what she didn't accomplish in her lifetime. Kee ponw ritin gon, Kate, and may you have many more wonderful 'birthdays' on WdC!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
