His wanting a human companionship shows a emotional bondage for humans. His life in the icy mountains of Tibet and having a name makes him a curiosity. He likes his life in the mountains. His encounter with Akeena and his consequent attachment to her makes him special. The story is a fantasy with a possibility of such an event taking place. Yeti's are known to be violent creatures.
