I want to take a moment and thank you for allowing me to read...and review...your writing entitled: "Words like roses " . Altogether, please know that I am a BIG fan of grammar, and spelling too.Just know that the rating I have provided - the "3.5" is ABOVE average - and that if the grammar of this writing were changed somewhat, this story would receive a perfect scoring without doubt!  So please consider this as the ONLY reason for the 3.5 .... and nothing else, for you have talent that is quite convincing otherwise. If I could hand out an A+ score for just simply based on the heartfelt words an author uses, this would definitely receive A+ in my book. But alas, writing from the heart, while so important, isn't everything. We must consider structure too. And spelling. Need I say more? Overall Impact: This story has great impact. From where I stand, after reading this, it is a kind of manifesto from this writer, about the power of the written word. For above all, we learn from our own experience that indeed, the "pen IS mightier than the sword" - in all its glorified ways! So this writing, starting off with almost an embryonic meaning in a real sense, takes us on a journey to the times when we, as children, learn the words that will open doors in Life in ways we've never dreamed... Errors: Plenty of grammar issues here. My advice? Keep writing AND reading, AND find out for oneself how others seem to write with fluid style and wonderful grace. You see, you HAVE that grace already, just need to find the small ways and means to apply it in the sentences that you already have given GREAT thought to. I can see your talent, its that obvious to me. You are a thinker too, so it just is a matter of time to get the kinks out of certain expressions and certain sentences here. Spelling, no big deal here - use the spellchecker we have here on WDC! Summation: Like I say, I see "PROMISE" written all over this writing! I really think this author has more talent within them than even they might know. For that reason, I want them to know that we here on this site will look forward to seeing more and more writing coming from this person, all in due time!  Like I tell everyone here - KEEP WRITING!
