Prompt: "Greet the dawn with a breath of fire."Harold and Maude (1971)

First impression:Immediately after reading your poem, I felt like I had received a quick pep talk. It brought new meaning to the saying "It's all in the attitude". I like the idea of this being a pep talk. We need one now and again to remind us that we will sometimes fail, sometimes experience hard times, but it is all in how you react that determines the experience.

Does this poem reference the prompt?: Yes

Suggestions: None

Favorite Stanza:

Greet the dawn with a breath of fire.
T’will melt the fallen snow.
Flounder not in Winter’s mire;
Its darkness soon will go.

Why: It sets the tone of your poem perfectly and I love the imagery it immediately invokes.

Final thoughts: A short poem that inspires you to forget all the troubles of yesterday and start anew today.

This concludes my review. Thank you for allowing me the pleasure of reading and reviewing your work and for participating in my contest. I wish you continued success with your writing and in life. Good luck in the contest! Write on, read on, rate on!~ Taryn
