This is good for as short as it is, and you did a great job of using sugarglider58's prompt. I like this version of hide-n-seek you've created here, and my only suggestion would have been to have made it a little longer. Still, you got your point across with this 'anonymous man'. I wouldn't want to be Laurence, that's for sure.
Now I'm just wondering what happened to Susan and Gary, although it's not too hard to imagine! *Smirk*
A couple of tiny niggles?
'...wherever Susan had wondered off to.' ('wandered', although this might be a U.K. spelling)
'...to where Gary had been stood.' (don't really need that, do you?)
