Title of Work: : If Teenagers Ruled the World (Essay, Philosophy)
Author of Work: : Anastasia Bell Street
Date: : July 23

Plot:
Points about teenagers ruling the world.

Scene/Setting:
The author gives her arguments and points to why it would be good to let teenagers rule the world. Points made:
1. "... teenagers are probably the most idealistic people in the world"
2. "... they are not burdened with age, cynicism, and a flat out jaded view, they would have a fresher outlook of this planet."
3. " Higher education would be the foremost on their minds..."
4. "... they have incredible energy just by virtue of being young...."
5. "... they are capable of great works... "
6. "... Young people could be more philosophical, have a vision, and a better retirement plan."

The author does concede that this idea "... might destroy the "luxury" of being young, out on your own, and making mistakes that would serve as a lifelong lesson plan...."

She backs up her idea with the history of many kings and queens being crowned when they were very young.

Her last sentence is true. " Teenagers are a source of wisdom we are not mining ..."

Suggestions:
Not sure what to say about this post. And here is not the place to get into giving you back arguments to your thoughts. You make some valid points, I will agree. Keep thinking about this as you get older though. I would be very interested to see you do revisions when you become a young adult, middle aged and mature, and a senior citizen. Write on!
