Overall Impression:

I love this poem. It makes me think of the holidays, my perception of the world, and being in nature and how that affects me.

I love the imagery you use - it paints a clear picture and uses the different senses. I could imagine the scent of the snow, and the firs. Hear the crunching footsteps. Very nicely done.

I especially loved that you addressed the confusion that surrounds the holiday season - the tension that rises, which does seem like a confused rejection of the good. I have felt that before, and I know that others are affected by it, too - as though we can't or won't allow ourselves to feel joy, and peace. To just be in the moment, rather than take on unnecessary pressure.

Being in nature can center us. I have felt that, too, and you express it well.

On the technical side of things, this poem reads well. It was easy to pick up on its rhythm and flow. I enjoyed the rhyming scheme. And I feel grateful for your use of punctuation and that you allowed the capitalisation at the beginning of each line to depend upon the individual sentences within the piece. This aided the overall clarity and reading experience. Last but not least, it's nicely presented, and easy on the eye.

I have no suggestions, dear Jace. I didn't spot any errors. It's a lovely, soothing poem and I wouldn't change a thing.
