Christmas Magic [E] The magic of Christmas comes to a father and son. [Ballad] |
Hi Winnie Kay , This review is a part of "Game of Thrones" [13+]. Overall Impression: What a lovely poem, dear author. A true feel-good piece. I loved the picture you added as well. It made me wonder, is this poem based on a true event? I love Christmas items. They are often so uplifting. I think that they make for a good read any time of the year. This one is no exception. I could sympathise with Jack's struggles, and how much he wanted to make his son happy. His boy's wish was a small one, yet out of Jack's reach to give. Then, the surprise and delight the next morning. Was it Santa? Was it God? That is left to the imagination, and I like that. On the technical side of things, this poem reads well. It has a pleasant rhythm and flow to it. A lovely rhyming scheme. It's well-presented. And I liked your use of punctuation - always helpful for the reader, as it enhances the overall clarity of the item. Suggestions: I have no real suggestions, dear author. Not helpful, I know, but I could spot no errors and didn't find anything that I think could be improved upon. This poem works! My Rating: As you can no doubt tell, I thought that this was a lovely poem. I was very happy to read it. I had no suggestions. I will give this item the 5 out of 5 rating it deserves. Thank you for sharing your work, and write on! Kit My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
