Plot/story elements: Did I feel attached to the story or poem? Ohh..I feel Maya Angelou's inspiration all over this. I hope I'm right. I love her, she's one of my favorites. If you love something, set it free, my favorite line. It's so true. I try to raise my kids in this mind set. I love them enough for them to forge their path their own way. Would I recommend this piece of writing to someone else? Yes, I love the idea of equating love to freedom. Sometimes, freedom hurts, but the hurt will resolve itself if its grounded in the idea of stability and love. Was there a clear purpose to it? The ultimate pathway to love. Life brings uncertainty and determination and a whole of other attributes that make strange bedfellows. I felt it was a piece I would give a parent. Glows: The sentiment in this piece is so strong. Give what you love space. No one likes to be controlled. We have free will for a reason. It can be a destructive force but its also highly creative when backed by love. Grows: I would add a couple of lines about the journey of free will. You touch on it a little bit when your lines about searching and roaming but i would add something about perils and gifts of it too.
