Plot/story elements:

Did I feel attached to the story or poem?

Love this piece! It's so hopeful! I think if we can just discard fear, we're set free. Never miss a chance to be kind, is my favorite line. It's in the small day to day things like waving, using your turn signal, tipping the server 25%. I think those actions really add up. Eschewing the darkness and choosing the light! It's really hard to do that but such an important step to inner peace.

Would I recommend this piece of writing to someone else?

Absolutely! It gives so much hope and a silver lining to people who may be shrouded in darkness and fog. I know life can be rough and it's easy to turn to hopelessness and doubt. It really is true, fear leads to anger and anger leads to the dark side. Be a Jedi!

Was there a clear purpose to it?

Yes, this piece is meant to uplift and give hope. It almost sounds like the adult Dr. Seuss, especially in the first line and the last. I love the play on verb tense.

For me it's a poem of inner strength. It takes fortitude to stay certain in the face of doubt. I say acknowledge the doubt and fear and keep it at bay with powerful messages like these!

Glad I looked for one I thought might paint a brighter picture!
