*NoteV* What worked ~
I too love Pride and Prejudice. You are spot on when it comes to Mr. Darcy I believe. Yes, he was so very proud, and I agree he fell for Elizabeth right from the very beginning, but as you mention his status kept him from showing it and putting her off. He is the kind of character that grows on you, even if you want to dislike him because of his treatment of Elizabeth. I agree too that this book has great dialog throughout. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett were funny, refreshing, and both a bit conniving when it came to their girls and each other. Humor always works well here.

*NoteV* Impressions ~
So you could see yourself falling for Darcy? I think most women who read the book agree with you on that point. There is so much playful banter in this book that it's hard not to like the characters, especially the hero and heroine. Darcy is so proud, and refined when it comes to the words he chooses to speak, that just knowing he stumbles on telling Elizabeth how he really feels about her is heartwarming. Nice review and insights into your thoughts. I don't think English being your second language is a problem for you. You hit upon good points in your summery of the book, and gave your thoughts to things that stood out for you. Wishing you well as you continue to write and explore your writing and WdC. Write on!
