You know something? I like this prose-oem. I could picture paragraphs of history unfolding, the cruel as well as the victorious. It's probably because everyone is so wrapped up into the upcoming GoT, that I could find a sense of identity with this item.

The story told is vivid and bold. The imagery popped out, especially with the description of the mittens and what they had probably "seen" when they were worn by one, so very long ago.

Cold dungeons and towers within unfriendly walls, come alive.

It's amazing how a museum can kick-start a muse, is it not?

Liked this one a lot. I'm happy I came across it while perusing "The Writer's Cramp." The story was huge, the form had a rhythmic flow, and it worked for me.
