Just a quick opinion for you..



*Starb* Overall impression?

I went over your collection again and found this poem that is one of those I remember from before but couldn't really understand it first time. It's awesome to reread your stuff all over again *Smile*. This poem makes me feel like I'm watching some movie because I used to watch similar scenes in a movies. I feel a bit weird when I know that this really happened (I assume since your poetry is biographical) because I had some movie picture about USA in my head before visit. I don't anymore *Laugh*. We don't really do stuff like this here, sitting on the hood of the car and watching kids fighting. And especially because you mentioned fight club. I watched the movie million times so fighting scene in your poem can be similar to some movie scenes.

I still have some lines that I don't understand, like 7/11 people, sunrise postcard ..anyone gets the KO, though I love the opening line. It makes me think about something awkward. I love foaming at the mouth imagery as related to someone who's angry and I also love that J ending in all your poems. He sounds cool here because he let you win. This is also one of your writing that I read more as prose than poetry but again the line between those two is very thin and I never know for sure. Nice captured moment anyway as always.
