*Cat2* INTRODUCTION

Hello Lornda~Thoughts with Bikerider Author Icon,

I've got one more review for you for your WdC Kind Hearts spotlight, and I chose "Invalid ItemOpen in new Window.. The first couple pieces I chose from you were fiction stories because I read a lot of fiction on here and it's what I think I'm probably the best at reviewing, but I'd never learn anything new without stepping out of my comfort zone a little. I chose this piece to read because it was the first one that jumped out at me from one of the other folders.

*Cat2* WHAT I LIKED:

*Cat*Idea:

I think what drew me to this one was that as someone who participates in NaNoWriMo, I can easily relate to feeling stressed and needing that little bit of comedic relief. The title pulled me into this item, and it delivered. I only wish I had found it during last year's NaNo - because I really could have used it. I think this was a neat thing to do and I'm sure that this helped soothe a lot of very stressed out writers.

*Cat*Tone:

The item gave some much needed comic relief, and that was supported by the tone. It was very light, conversational and had just enough humor to make me smile without overshadowing the good points being made about taking care of one's self - even with the threat of deadlines looming overhead.

Of course, there were some things that were all-joking as well, but they fit in well and they contributed greatly to the piece. All writers do need to take breaks sometimes, especially during the stress-inducing month that is NaNoWriMo.

*Cat*Good Advice

And of course, the thing I liked best was the great advice. It was given in a comedic, light-hearted way, but I can't even imagine how helpful of a reminder this was to the writers who were spending days a time hunched over their desks trying to finish a novel. Telling them to take some time to relax, sleep, and walk around probably made this one of the most helpful newsletters of all time.

On a related note, I really enjoyed that you took the liberty of linking some videos for the readers to go distract themselves with. (I especially like that one of them was a Simon the Cat video - because those have always been some of my personal favorites.)

*Cat2* CONCLUSION:

I think this item was great. You might notice I just took out the suggestions section of my review template for this one, because this item was pretty much all good stuff. It made me wish that I'd read it during last November (or pretty much any November for the last decade of my life) and it has talked me into signing up for the Comedy newsletter - which to be honest I was on the fence about previously.

I've had a really great time looking through your portfolio this month, and you can expect to see more of me in the future!

All the best,

-Cat
