What does hoovsie think about while perusing your item?

*Cool**Idea*This is the moving story of a man, Gerstahn, who is dying. The world is shrinking for him as his perceptions diminish rapidly. He is losing his senses, but still enjoys his wife's descriptions of smells as she brings food to him that she has prepared. This gives him pleasure, even as he is dying.

What does hooves moo and applaud about while reading your item?

*Thumbsup* I admired the closeness between the couple and their sensing of each other even when they weren't sure of what was happening. I felt like there was some doubt, but faith also. She is not repulsed by the blood and feels only love and concern for what he is going through. There is a kindness to their relationship that shines through in a powerful way.

There is no dwelling on the "hospital" smells, which I honestly find repulsive. I would rather be anywhere than in a hospital setting. It is finding a way, between the two of them, to go to his garden and to happier times.

I absolutely love the title, it is perfect!

Well done and your description of the soup was quite vivid and imaginative! I loved how it made him smile when she spoke of the connection to his garden.

Lovely story!
