Hello, ~Lifelessons~ Thank you for sharing your work.
I am reviewing your writing because: I was curious what you were writing about. I am familiar with the Biblical Joshua, but I wasn't familiar with the tree. The tone you've set: You set a remarkable tone for your writing. I looked up pictures of the Joshua tree, and found them interesting, especially in view of your work. Even the name Joshua means "Jehovah is generous" or "Jehovah saves". www.sheknows.com/baby-names/name/joshua. The images I saw when I looked up the pictures match your description completely. How I feel about your work: After seeing the picture of the tree, I found your words to be precise. Beaten down, and "tortured" in the desert sun and wind...how very appropriate. Yet even after all of that, it still blooms with promise. It almost reminds me of the "rainbow" story in the Bible with Noah. Amazing how the promises are there, in spite of what is happening all around a person. I wonder about: What made you think of writing such a poem as this? Was there something that you went through, or something you saw someone else go through? Or were you just thinking about the promise of God to never leave or forsake, no matter what the circumstances? You know the adage: Inquiring Minds want to know ! Suggestions I have: I only found one thing, that bugged me as I read this wonderful poem: the deserts sun; - I'm thinking it should be desert sun, or perhaps desert's sun? My opinion only. Overall: A brilliant poem. Wonderfully thought out and executed! From beginning to end,I enjoyed reading this very much . It certainly gives you something to think about when you are going through life's anxious moments. sincerely, amyjo ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **
