This is a review as part of the WDC Power Reviewers Group Raid and the Disability Writers Group Raid today.

Your Advent Auction and Raffle is a WDC advent calendar for all the community to enjoy. I was immediately attracted by the idea of an advent calendar - it had to be fun!

The main image is great and displays exactly what the activity holds within - that of an advent calendar. Using the colours of red and green, for the tinsel and Christmas stockings, evokes feelings of tradition and warmth. I really like the image and the stockings are very cute too! The image encourages a member to read on and find out what is happening.

Each window of the advent calendar holds a surprise two merit badges which WDC members have kindly donated - one to be won via raffle and one to be won via auction. You show the rules for both clearly in a font, colour and layout that are easy to read and understand.

It's great that a large percentage of funds raised by this activity go to charity - to RAOK Upgrade Army and the Angel Army . Its great that you give 90% of funds away especially as it's Christmas!

There are some exclusive/hard to earn merit badges available that members have donated. You must be well respected throughout the community for so many people to have wanted to take part and donate their merit badges! The badges include the Star Trekking MB, the WDC addicts Anonymous MB and the WDC Kids Club MB. There are other great badges to win too!

I love the idea of the special Christmas Box that is available on 25th December. To include lots of goodies like MBs, Awardicons and credits is a wonderful Christmas present for the winner. This is presented as a really special treat and will no doubt attract many bidders. This is a 'winning' idea!

Overall, this is an excellent activity that will attract lots of members of the community and raise a lot of funds for your selected groups. A perfect bit of Christmas fun! It is well worth a 1000gps raffle ticket or a bid to be involved in this activity. I have already begun!
