I came here because the title definitely intrigued me. I was expecting a dark piece about drugs and addiction, and maybe even suicide.
I did not see that ending coming. After all the warnings, I was expecting a dramatic ending and when I saw that the lines were starting to get shorter I thought that the person swallowed the pill and died. But this is a whole lot better. It's like: "I give up, do it.. Just swallow it already." Hahah I love that! I mean there are only so many warnings you could issue to a person. Beyond that point they should be on their own, lol.
I also quite enjoyed the repetition of the last line of the first three verses: "You may just die." It made for an interesting rhyme and it made the last line in the poem even more hilarious, "Swallow the Pill!"
