This is a wonderful descriptive, evocative poem that illustrates the pleasures that can be found in a 'simple walk'. It can be hard to get non-rhyming poetry to flow well but you've achieved great pacing here. You have a good ear for how words work together and you've obviously taken time and care in your word choices. The bit about the deer was particularly effective and really brought your poem to life for me.
