The spot on which the teenage girl stands has appeal due to its unhindered location exposed to the elements. There is the sky, the wind, the tree and a spirit willing to take the risk. Freedom in its natural sense is well depicted in this short descriptive sketch.
Leaving hold of the tree as much as possible indicates the final release from bonds of any kind and the person is ready to hit the sea just as the scarf is seen flying away. Love of outdoors and the elevated position of standing on a cliff are shown.
The last paragraph mirrors the use of senses quite attractively.
