Overall impression: A humorous look at a relationship between mother and daughter. This captures a realistic life view. The writing style is easy to read.

Characterization: Jo Ann tells the story and brings the reader into it in a good way. The interaction with the mother and with her brother-in-law is well done, making for a fun account.

Dialogue: Good realistic dialogue that moves the story alone.
