At the Diner [18+] Crime doesn't take coffee breaks. |
What brought the Hand of THiNG to your port? I was looking around in your port and I found this poem. The title caught my attention because I miss having Diners. I live where we don't have them. I used to live where we had a lot of them. They offered delicious food. What Does THiNG think about while perusing your item? You say they are Navy police, so I'm assuming this is on a base. I wish they would be more alert to what is happening. What does THiNG applaud about while reading your item? I thought this part was very poignant: "Who is minding the street? Crime doesn't take coffee breaks." I was thinking it would be just my luck to have to call for help and have my helpers be doing that. But we don't want them to overreact when they do show up. It is a tough job, to be sure. I don't know what the answer is. What I liked most about this was the fact that you set the scenes you portray so vividly using very few words. I could picture the innocent woman caught up in it, not having anything to do with the trouble really. Wonderfully done! THiNG a.k.a. HOOVES, a.k.a. COWser Soze, a.k.a. 4ps DISCLAIMER I am not an expert on poetry or prose. I am merely a reader who loves to read. END OF DISCLAIMER Ta Ta until we meet again....
