This is a Sisco's Good Deed Group Review!

Initial hook: Hey I'm here with a review as part of the "The Kiwi Review Challenge! - closed" !


What I liked:

This piece tells the story of Whina Cooper, a woman who led a march from one end of the island to the other in an attempt to raise awareness about what the Government were doing with the Maori land and hoping to call an end to it. This is really a truly inspirational piece and I'm really glad I opened it. I feel like this piece really immersed me and I learned a lot about the history, the culture and even the language while reading this. I didn't know this happened so reading such an account was amazing.

Whina is characterised as such a strong, vigourous and courageous woman. I can't believe she made that journey at 80 and would certainly take my hat off to her for standing up for her rights!


A few suggestions I had:

Original quotes will be in black, any changes or suggestions I'll make in blue to make it clear

“Not one more acre” was no longer a catchcry, a slogan...

When I spotted this I wasn't sure if it was meant to read 'catchcry' or if it was a typo. I've never seen that used before and thought it may have supposed to have been 'catchy'. Just thought I'd point it out in case.
