*CakeB* HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary ReviewsOpen in new Window.*CakeP*

Hi, Michaelmountain:spring hope Author IconMail Icon I found out your name on the "Invalid ItemOpen in new Window. and that it's your anniversary in December.

so I looked up one of your stories *Reading* and I offer the following comments: *Reading*

*UmbrellaV* Overall Impression:
This is one of those tales that uncovers fascinating facts that are little known. I found it intriguing and interesting, it's true to say that the people of today have little appreciation of the ingenuity and imagination that went into solving matters of camouflage in WW2.
I had absolutely no knowledge of the problems facing the armoured tank brigades in the deserts of North Africa. Similarly, I thought the subterfuge that went into preserving the ancient port of Alexandria was simply breathtaking.
After I finished reading this piece I found that I was smiling to myself; I had gained some new knowledge and been thoroughly entertained at the same time.

*UmbrellaV* Writing Style:
The way this essay is written allows for knowledge to be imparted in a lighthearted manner. I did not feel as though I was being lectured; I was just caught up in a 'stop and think' moment.

*UmbrellaV* Writing Craft:
*Bulletv*It might be helpful to refer to source material in order to bolster and back up assertions such as are being stated in this piece. I have taken the information completely at face value. Other readers may not.

*Bulletv*They had unlimited supply.
I think this sentence would read better if 'an' was inserted before 'unlimited'.

*Bulletv* Their tongue and cheek motto was, “We stand behind every camel.”
I think the first part of this sentence should read 'tongue in cheek' rather than 'and'.

*UmbrellaV* I Liked:
*Bulletv*I simply loved the motto of the Dung Brigade
*Bulletv*I thought the section on Alexandria was amazing.

My opinions may not coincide with yours and that is fine; please feel free to ignore any suggestions you don't want. We are all of us on a learning curve, and only you can decide what is best for your story.
