To Live is to Die [13+] Drama, Dark, Personal |
Review from "Let's help each other grow- Closed" Note To The Author None of this review is personal. It is just my opinion, nothing more. It is a dramatic exposition of one's emotions. Its not that she/he really wants to die, its that he/she feels this way. The first stanza is expressive, allusive. It has a comforting tone, and though I can sense a tone of dissatisfaction, the language is comforting, none-the-less. With the first line of the second stanza, thing s change: And as I am ghost, As in, not a person, something less, above it all, but not real. We see the speaker above the universe, but watching it crumble and burn, watching her world become destroyed. It's not that she is safe above it all, she is simply viewing it all from above. And while the last stanza seems disconnected from the rest, there does seem to be some connection I think. It's that feeling that if all is a mess in life, it all is chaotic, what is the point of living? It's an over-reaction to those issues, and a way to cope, as is that floating in the poem, a way to get by, since death isn't really an option. I liked the poem. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** }
