Well, we usually know the truth, and it is likely as you say. Though it seems being forgotten or ignored is much the same thing. It hurts either way because it is a lack of consideration, but of course it the person wants out, they want out. We can be upset and feel bad, but, I certainly don't want someone staying with me who doesn't care about me. It's best to cut the cord and let them move on, thus letting my healing begin. It's worked in the past. I know, that is easier said than done.

I can feel the hurt in this poem, and if it is slightly irrational, that would be the reason. When we hurt we are hardly ever rational. At least not me.

I hope one day soon that you can be past that hurt and your poems will take on a new tone, maybe one of hope and happiness. That would be nice, right?

I just noticed, this is four years ago, so this is old news, and most likely just a relic of the past, something to hold onto simply because it represents a time and a mood. I still wish you the best of luck, as I would anyone.
