Overall impression of piece: I know this period of time well. Certainly I can see all the images of which you speak. I can feel them on a visceral level. Grammatical and spelling errors: Seems fine

What I liked? I like your choice of images. Help did come to late for those hands. I like the devouring of hearts. Obviously, they never did this, but on a metaphysical level , they certainly did. Perhaps you could add they were devoured by national greed and hatred.

What I disliked: Feet marked with the star of david. I am not sure if they were ever marked in this way. They were marked other ways. Shouldn
't it be 12 million hands and feet? I am not good at math, but for me, it is a disconnect.

How the piece made me feel: Not a bright happy poem by any stretch of the imagination. I think you are saying we will fall victim to the halocost of war. Starvation and hunger are also players. If you torture someone, it doesn't matter which way
