Our story begins shortly after the SeeD attack on Dollet. Squall, Xell and Selphie all took part in the fight against Galbadia there, and they succeeded. Due to their achievements, they were all granted the rank of a SeeD. And now, their next mission was about to start. Destination: Timber, a city occupied by Galbadia. But there was rebel group formed against Galbadia: the Timber Forest Owls. And they have asked the SeeDs for help. And Squall, Xell and Selphie were the ones to be send there. They met in a small room in Balamb Garden, where they were awaiting Quistis. She wanted to give them some advice before leaving.
But during their wait, something unusual was happening. Each of them felt a sudden tiredness, and seconds later they collapsed and fell asleep (much like in the game, when they are sent to...oh, I don´t want to spoil anything in case you haven´t played part 8). After what seemed like an eternity, Squall was the first one to wake up again. He rubbed his eyes, looked around...and was shocked by what he saw. Quistis´ right foot was directly in front of him, but...it was as big as a house and he was only as big as an ant!
"Hey, everyone, where are you?" Quistis asked, surprised that there was no one here. But of course, Squall and the others were in the same room, with one small difference: they must have been shrunken to microscopic size somehow. Squall didn´t care why this happened, right now, it was more important to stay alive, as Quistis could easily crush them by accident.
"Xell, Selphie, wake up!"
"Uh...what´s the matter, pal?"
"*yawn* I had such a niiiice dream!" Selphie murmured.
"I´ve been dreaming I was ant-sized, and..."
Xell and Selphie grew silent as they saw the titanic Quistis in front of them.
"Aaaaahhh! What happened?!"
"No time to think about it! We gotta escape!"
