while the brigands are walking the road away from you ,you focus the energy from your hand into your blade. "i can't focus to well with you in the tree" "how'd you know i was up here?" the assassin says. "i can hear about anything with these overgrown ears, now if you want to live get behind the trees! thord.." before you finish she puts a knife to your neck. "you can hear anything but not see it, look very closely at those 5 brigands. they're petards! using that kind of magic would backfire as it explodes."
"so i'll do things my way!"you say and put her in another ice block. "i thank you but i'm not going to let a person die... even an assassin" you say and march toward another set of trees.
"the ice should protect her" you wait for the petards to move a little more apart "ice blitz!" you scream and freeze the petards in place. "there he is! get him!" says an archer with 2 crossbows. "firestorm!!" you bellow and the entire forest gets bombarded with flames.
"hope that girl's ok" you arise from the flames with your right arm on fire.the archer pulls out his crossbows and starts shooting. you use your magic to put up a shield but thousands of little needles block the bolts. "who did that?!" you both say, the assassin comes out of the flames and throws 4 daggers at the archer. "thought i would get hurt, your arm is on still on fire..." "i was getting to that" you focus the energy from your sword and the fire disappears. "so what's the name of the girl who saved my life?" "Alyah, now we need to get off the road before they send more brigands after you."
you see the path where the archer came from and more forest to the northeast which way will you go.
