A STUNNING SAVE

"OK, girls! Hold everything until we find that new kid. Look all around you: very, very carefully."

The girls did as directed. But, thorough as they were, there was just no sign of Little Phil. And, right at that moment, Phil was in no condition to call out for help. His classmate's meteoric impact with the ground resulted in enough momentum to knock him out, when he landed!

He did not regain consciousness, until after the coach had given up, and blown her whistle for everyone to return indoors. It was then that Rowena (the earth-shaking girl in question) discovered her little stow-away.
