"Am I not good enough for you?" Karen cries. Tears start to form in her eyes.

Phil is annoyed. He doesn't even know her, and now evidently he's a jerk for telling her down.

She hands Phil off to Ms. Prittey.

"Why are you crying?" the teacher asks.

"Phil is being mean to me," she answers. "I was trying to get to know him better, but he rejected me."

Ms. Prittey

2. rashly punishes Phil.
