Miroku sat quietly, sipping a cup of sake as the warm waters caressed his bare chest.
"This is so boring..." He sighed. "What's the point of a hot bath all alone? It's just useless..." He slid down under the water until it reached his neck. He put down the sake bowl but felt a squishy substance under his hand. He rose back up and looked to see a platter covered in rich, exquisite foods where his sake bottle had been.
"My, I can't complain about the service, though. This looks delicious."
And so, he dug in, slowly dining on rice, fish, and more sake. About halfway through the meal, though, he felt warm. Not just from the spring itself, but like a growing warmth from his stomach. He dropped his chopsticks and put his hand to his stomach, growling as the warmth grew in size and intensity. It just kept growing until it felt like it was pushing on his skin. He could feel a small bulge in his stomach growing like a balloon, fitting like a ball into his hands. After a minute or two, though it felt like hours, his stomach was distended by a half meter, and resting in his lap and hands. Though the water covered most of it, a portion rose above the water into plain sight.
"What... what manner of sorcery is this?!"
Just then, a snapping sound alerted the monk to approaching people. Yet he sensed no malevolence in their approach, especially since they didn't even try to mask their presence. With his gut so heavy and jiggling, there was surely no escape. But who was it that was approaching?
