"Inuyasha, what do you think YOU'RE doing?" cried the familiar shrill voice of Shippo as he scurried up nearby the lathargic hanyou.
Inuyasha grunted as he beamed down at his short fox demon companion. Quickly, he inched around the pile of food and seemed to heap it all in a pile away from the other. Then, he scooped up a rice ball grumpily and took a bite out of it.
Kicking a dust cloud in Shippo's face, Inuyasha snapped, "Why don't you high tail it out of here, short stuff? Can't you see I'm a little busy?"
Shippo lept onto a nearby rock to put himself at least on somewhat of an equal looking level with the dog demon, "Busy? Looks like you're just stuffing your face!"
With a dart, Shippo lunged up towards Inuyasha's hand and tried to snatch the rice ball from his clutches. The youngster let out a scowl when his grasp missed. He kept on bouncing up and down on his paws, trying to bound up to it.
The hanyou caught Shippo before tossing him aside, "Go get your own," he snarled.
"No fair!" Shippo cried, "You always steal all my food and now you're keeping all this to yourself? You're so greedy, Inuyasha! Besides, I'm a growing demon-"
"So am I!" Inuyasha blurted in between bites as he made a half-attempt at a muscle.
Kagura narrowed her eyes as Shippo kept on rattling.
If this goes on, he might detract Inuyasha from his appetite or even alert the others about his condition should it worsen. Perhaps I should intervene by somehow moving the little one somewhere else, Kagura thought, looking at Shippo. But if I do that, there's too great a chance that I'll be noticed or suspicions will arise...
Kagura decided to wait in the shadows of the trees for just a while more, but to her dismay, the squabbling demons were soon joined by. . .
